The Basics
Make sure you familiarise yourself with the company, visit their website and stay informed and up to date by reading any relevant articles and industry specific news. Make sure you fully understand the job description and know why you have both the relevant experience and can add value to the business. And remember, even if your interview is via Zoom, make sure you are dressed appropriately, away from distractions and make sure you are set up in a quiet well-lit area - first impressions really do count!
Do your research
Make sure you familiarise yourself with the company, visit their website and stay informed and up to date by reading any relevant articles and industry specific news. Know your CV
Always ensure you are familiar with your CV. If you are applying for multiple roles, you may be adapting your CV accordingly with each application. Before attending an interview, always read through your CV and be prepared for any questions that may come up regarding your experience and or qualifications and dates.
Be prepared to be asked lots of questions
First impressions count, and interviewers will make up their mind in the first few minutes of meeting you. Be prepared for questions that are likely to be asked, such as ‘what do you think makes you suitable for the role?’.
Ask relevant questions to ask
It’s standard practice for hiring managers to ask if you have any questions before an interview is concluded, so make sure you are prepared with two or three relevant business-related questions.
Here at Tarn International we are always on hand to discuss any details of your application with you and help you to prepare for your interviews.
