Our client specialises in the Aerospace and pharmaceutical industries and operates in eight key areas across the country including Skyline, a central hub located in London Heathrow. The UK branch manages some of the world’s biggest retailers and can provide value-added services including inventory management, re-packing, labelling and order preparation.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Ensure compliance (entering through to audit) of Customs documentation for Sea, Air and Road freight shipments
Utilise your knowledge of customs tariffs, CPC codes and security declarations enabling us to ensure our customers are utilising the correct information
Support and advise customers on all international import / export requirements
Advise the business and generate plans to mitigate the risks
Ensure the business is constantly compliant with all HMRC processes and that any changes to legislation are implemented wherever required within the business
Posses a strong understanding of Customs software, an understanding of CPC codes, Customs Tariffs and Security Declarations.
You are required to have a good understanding of customs authorisations such as CFSP, IPR, OPR, AEO, DDA etc. and related compliance.

Key Skills
3+ years experience in Customs Compliance at a Managerial level is required
Freight forwarding experience would be desirable
Have an understanding of the post-Brexit environment
Formal qualifications in the Customs / Freight arena would be advantageous
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, get on with the task, and deliver at pace
Be solution oriented, rather than just identify the problem
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences
A hard-working attitude, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
