Key Areas of Responsibility 

To understand how problems surrounding customs clearance can affect businesses and work to develop and supply solutions that will ensure a perfectly smooth experience for the end recipient. 
Know how supply chain works and what are the pain points that businesses come across when trying to import/export goods across the globe. See customs clearance processes through the eyes of the trader and work with businesses to give the most seamless and delightful experience possible. 
Display real acumen in selling a solution and understanding a prospective customer’s pain points. 
Identify business opportunities by consulting prospective customers and applying product knowledge to offer specific solutions. 
Conduct periodical market research and follow key industry trends. 
Support the marketing function with Industry knowledge, competitor information and develop the brand to ensure our name is trusted and recognised as a credible competitor in cross-border customs clearance sector. 
Identify further industry pain points and suggest product development opportunities to our product teams. 
Help the company leadership in formulating a sales strategy and execute it 
• Researches the market for our preferred customer segment and helps the technical team in building up a database of prospective customers 
Demonstrate the system to potential customers, and coordinate with the technical team for any technical queries. 
Provides feedback to technical team and works with product manager to determine the future feature roadmap 
Facilitate the initial solution engineering for larger potential customers 
Participate in physical and virtual events to promote the product/company 
Writes blog articles and demonstrate thought leadership 
Manage the relationship with established customers and explore account maximization potential 
Explore partnership opportunities with other firms  
Provides inputs to digital marketing to generate inbound leads 
Be aware of UK customs regulatory landscape and explore near and long term strategic sales opportunities

Key Skills 

Experience in a senior or mid senior sales role within in a service based, cross-border e-commerce, customs clearance or supply chain related industry. 
Possess business acumen and the ability to understand wider issues of international trade and customs clearance Industry, with a good understanding of international trade processes, check out flows and challenges surrounding movement of goods across borders. 
Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a consultative approach. 
Great communication skills and attention to detail.  
Ability to manage the sale process from first call execution of integration, through to onboarding
